ACA-ICAEW – The Institute of Chartered Accountants, UK

In 2011, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) ICPAK entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with ICPAK, facilitating recognition of the CPA brand within the United Kingdom and ICAEW’s broader international network.

The ICAEW Chartered Accountant qualification, the ACA, is one of the most advanced learning and professional development programmes which is valued around the world in business practice and the public sector. Possessing both CPA and ACA qualifications is a testament to an individual’s professional competence and financial acumen, equipping them with the expertise and skills required to excel in the global business environment.

Upon qualification as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant, you will earn the right to use the esteemed ACA designation after your name. This signifies your expertise and commitment to excellence in the accounting and finance field.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • CPA (K) and ICPAK membership
  • Those studying for the ACA under a training agreement with an organization that is an ICAEW authorized training employer

Exemptions

  • ICPAK members are automatically awarded credit (exemptions) from 12 of the 15 ACA exam modules.
  • ICPAK Practicing Certificate holders will be awarded credit for one year of work experience (including 150 days of technical work experience).
