  • A Two Year (Top Up) Programme is offered at Oshwal College in collaboration with the University of Greenwich – UK. The College operates on the basis of two semesters commencing in the first week of January and July respectively.
  • Commission for University Education Granted University of Greenwich (UK) & Oshwal College (Kenya) Authority to Collaborate to continue offering the Bachelors of Science (Hons) Computing programme. Vide CUE/8/44 Vol.3(2).

Qualifications for entry will be assessed on an individual basis for each applicant. The other basic minimum qualifications are: Student must have successfully completed one of the following to obtain credits in year one and gain entry at Year 2: –

  • IMIS Advanced/Graduate Diploma
  • BTEC Diploma in Computing
  • NCC International Diploma
  • City & Guilds Adv/Diploma in IT
  • ACP Diploma
  • KNEC Diploma in Computing
  • ABE Advanced Diploma in BIS
  • Diploma in IT from any recognised local or International University
  • Any other programme of equivalent academic standards as formally recognised by the Learning and Quality Committee of the School of CMS

Timings:

The timings are designed to suit both Full-time and Part-time students. The class times are as follows:

Full-time Classes:

8.30 a.m. – 4.00 p.m.     (Monday to Friday)

Part-time Classes:

5.45 p.m. – 7.45 p.m.     & (Sat 8.30 a.m-4.00 p.m.).

  • Developed and standardized by Pearson UK and the main focus of the course is on vocational skills and students assessed continuously through assignments.
  • BTEC Higher Nationals are internationally-recognised higher education qualifications at level 4 and 5 that are equivalent to the first and second years of a university degree, providing progression to both university and employment.
  • HNC (higher national certificate) is a one-year course, equivalent to the first year of university. An HND (higher national diploma) is a two-year course, equivalent to the first two years of university.
  • HNCs and HNDs are highly regarded by employers and are considered more practical than a traditional degree. Both qualifications provide a pathway into a particular career, helping to improve your job prospects while

  • This is a one and a half (1.5) years programme for anyone who sees their future career in IT.
  • BTEC International Level 3 Diploma in IT that broadens and expands the specialist work-related focus.
  • It meets entry requirements in its own right for some courses in IT or related study such as an HNC or HND in Computing, Engineering or Business Management.
  • For progression to a degree course, learners should normally study this qualification alongside other qualifications, such as an A Level or BTEC Extended Certificate in a different or complementary subject area.

The QuickBooks training offers lots of advantages including the Accounting, and Finance specifications. You need not to be completely certified or be an accountant for applying this system as there are various modules and wizards which may help you in various stages for this. The majority of small and moderate size companies are using this software program to handle the funding and maintain the tracks of the different facets of any tasks. Due to this, QuickBooks has been identified as very useful in keeping things structured and easy to handle.

This course is intended for anyone with an interest or need to master the basics of setting a business using QuickBooks pro accounting software package. This is a course that could lead to a career as a computerized Accountant.

Other related courses are Sage and Tally.
