The Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) qualification exists to enhance the competences and knowledge of HR professionals. The examinations are aimed at assessing the HR body of knowledge, practical skills and required attitudes for effective delivery of human resource management services to stakeholders in both public and private sectors.

Note: HRMPEB may give exemptions to holders of Degrees, Diplomas and certificates from recognized universities, examination bodies and other recognized institutions. Award of CHRP exemptions shall be limited to NOT more than 49% of the course. Subjects in CHRP Part III are compulsory. Applicants shall qualify up to a maximum of three (3) exemptions in CHRP Part II. Such exemptions shall be granted on paper by paper basis to applicants who meet the set criteria.

CIPS QUALIFICATIONS
Throughout the world CIPS qualifications are recognised as the drivers of leading-edge thinking and professionalism in procurement and supply. You can study CIPS qualifications at either Certificate, Advanced Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma or Professional Diploma level.
Diploma Level
- A minimum of at least two A-levels (or international equivalent) or a CIPS Level 3 Advanced Certificate qualification is required.
- An advanced certificate, other relevant reputable qualification or University degree or 2 years working experience.
Note: Exemptions are issued on application to, and at the discretion of the CIPS-UK.

Assessment
All the modules in programme are assessed by coursework which entails online tests and assignments. This mode of assessment allows students to apply the knowledge learned during a course of study while identifying and filling in the gaps by doing independent research on certain themes. The coursework are marked and graded by the respective module leaders at the University of Hertfordshire.
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (or equivalent examination) certificate with a minimum mean grade of C+ (Plus), or
- ABE Diploma Level 5, or
- BTEC HND in Business, or
- A Diploma in Business from a recognized Institution of Higher Learning subject to approval by the University of Hertfordshire, or
- A holder of a Diploma validated by the Commission for University Education with at least a credit, or a professional certificate in relevant discipline from a recognized institution or equivalent.

Timings:
The timings are designed to suit both Full-time and Part-time students. The class times are as follows:
Full-time Classes: Mon to Fri 8.30 a.m. – 4.00 p.m.
Part-time Classes: Mon to Fri 5.45 p.m. – 7.45 p.m. & Sat 8.30 a.m-4.00 p.m.
Gain an affordable internationally-recognized degree qualification in 2 or 3 years from the University of Hertfordshire (UK) locally without incurring travel and accommodation costs. The programme is suited to applicants who have some work experience, completed their diploma studies, as well as those who have completed their high schools.
Degree classification
The Programme Board of Examiners determines the average numeric grade of the best 90 credits at Level 6 or higher for the students being considered for a final award with Honours classification. The classification is summarized below:
- For a first class Honours award a candidate must achieve a combined average numeric grade of 69.50 or more;
- For an upper second class Honours award a candidate must achieve a combined average numeric grade of 59.50 or more;
- For a lower second class Honours award a candidate must achieve a combined average numeric grade of 49.50 or more;
- For a third class Honours award a candidate must achieve a combined average numeric grade of 39.50 or more.
